Castine, Maine – Maine Maritime men's soccer fell to Bowdoin College, 2-0 on Monday night in non-conference action.
How it Happened: The Polar Bears took a 1-0 lead in the first half when Charlie Ward beat Trevor Gray (Gorham, Maine) in the ninth minute. Dylan Reid rounded out the scoring for the Polar Bears in the 27th minute, securing the 2-0 win.
Inside the Numbers: Bowdoin held a 21-2 advantage in shots and a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks. Gray totaled seven saves on the night, while Michael Webber made one.
Up Next: Maine Maritime falls to 2-4 on the year, while Bowdoin improves to 4-1. The Mariners return to action on Saturday, September 25 when they travel to SUNY Canton at 2:30pm for a conference matchup.
